FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know about hiring us to pull your weeds.

How does weekly weed pulling work?

Once a week, your weeder visits your property and hand-pulls weeds — for one hour ($322 per month) or two hours ($620 per month), billed monthly. We always start at your Priority #1 and work down your list each visit, so your yard stays under control week after week. See how it works.

What happens at my first visit?

We’ll knock on your door and ask you to walk the property with us, pointing out where you want us to focus and in what order. We turn that into your priority list, and then we get to work.

How does the priority list work?

You rank the areas you care about most: Priority 1, 2, 3, and so on. Every time we visit, we start at Priority #1 and work our way down the list until our time is up. Once #1 is looking great, more of the hour goes to #2, then #3 — and you can change the list any time.

Do you spray or use any chemicals?

No. Everything we do is by hand — roots and all. That means no herbicide drift, no browning of nearby plants, and nothing to keep kids or pets off of afterward.

Is it safe for kids, pets, and my vegetable garden?

Yes. Since we never spray, there’s nothing for kids, pets, or vegetables to be exposed to. We’re also careful to pull only weeds and leave your plants alone.

Do I need to be home for visits?

Only for the first visit, so you can show us your priorities. After that you don’t need to be home — just make sure we can get to your yard (leave gates unlocked or tell us your gate code when we reach out before the first visit).

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Weekly service is month-to-month with no long-term contract. If you cancel, we finish out the billing month you’ve already paid for, so there are no refunds or partial-month credits for canceling midway. Your month starts the day you sign up (sign up on the 15th and your month runs the 15th to the 15th). You can cancel from your billing portal or by contacting us.

How and when do I pay?

Weekly service is $322/month for 1 hour a week or $620/month for 2 hours a week. After you submit the sign-up form, a person from our team reaches out to confirm the date of your first service and to collect payment. From then on you’re billed monthly on that same date (if your first payment is on the 15th, you’re billed on the 15th each month).

Which day will you come?

To keep prices low we run efficient routes and work one area at a time, so each city has its own service day. Pick your city while you sign up and we’ll show you your day and your first visit date. See the full list of cities and service days.

How soon can you start?

Usually the next time we’re in your city, at least 2 days after you sign up. The sign-up form shows your first-visit date, and a person from our team confirms it with you when they reach out.

What do you do with the weeds?

We bag up everything we pull and take it with us, so you’re left with clean beds — not piles of weeds.

Do you offer landscape maintenance, yard maintenance or mowing?

We do the weeding part of yard care — and only that. No mowing, edging, trimming or fertilizing, which is what keeps our pricing simple. Many customers pair our weeding-first yard maintenance service with a mow-and-blow crew: they keep the lawn short, we keep the beds, rock and fence lines clean. We’re happy to work alongside your landscape maintenance crew.

Should I pick the 1-hour or the 2-hour weekly plan?

Most yards do well with the 1-hour plan ($322/month). Pick the 2-hour plan ($620/month) if you have a big lot, lots of flower beds or rock, or a fast-growing yard: your weeder gets two hours at every weekly visit — it’s our best value. If your needs change, tell us and we’ll switch you.

What is a weeding service, and what does it include?

A weeding service sends someone to remove weeds from your yard on a schedule. Ours is a hand weeding service: your weeder pulls weeds by hand, root and all, from flower beds, gardens, rock beds, fence lines and park strips, bags them, and takes them away. It’s a weed removal service, not a mowing or landscaping company — weeding is the whole job.

Is your weed control organic and pet-safe?

Yes. Our weed control service is hand pulling only — no herbicides, no sprays, no residue — so it’s organic weed control in the plainest sense, and pet-safe weed control you don’t have to wait out. Kids and dogs can be back in the yard the moment your weeder leaves. (We don’t carry an organic certification; there’s simply nothing applied to your yard.)

Do you do flower bed maintenance?

Yes — the weeding part. Flower bed maintenance is mostly weeding, and that’s all we do, by hand and around your plants. We don’t plant, prune or mulch, but we’re glad to work with whoever does. See flower bed weeding.

Is there a weed pulling service near me?

If you’re in Utah County or Salt Lake County, yes — we serve all 45 cities and towns, each on its own day of the week. Searching “weed pulling near me”? Pick your city on the sign-up form or browse the service area to see your service day.

Do you work in the winter?

Weeds go dormant from roughly November through March. Because weekly service is month-to-month, many customers cancel for the winter and restart in spring — just sign up again and we’ll put you back on your day.

What if it rains on my service day?

We’ll move your visit to the next available day and let you know. Pulling is easiest in damp soil, so light rain usually isn’t a problem.

What areas do you serve?

All of Utah County and Salt Lake County, from Eagle Mountain and Lehi down to Santaquin, and from Draper and Herriman up through Salt Lake City. See every city.
